Bespoke Barn Style House

The challenge we accepted and delivered on here was the creation of a bespoke home on a small site within the South Downs National Park Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With careful consideration of design and materials, we secured the necessary permission to construct a custom-made timber framed property.

The use of sustainable oak, larch cladding and clay tiles enhanced the character of the property, which was constructed in accordance with the Code for Sustainable Homes. These techniques contributed to high environmental ratings, as well as offering a degree of ‘future proofing’ of the property. On completion, the building nestled beautifully into its setting, where it continues to gracefully ‘weather in’, giving the appearance of a converted barn.
